Bhune Besan Ki Kamal Kakdi Recipe
Other Name – ROASTED GRAM FLOUR LOTUS STEM
INGREDIENTS:
- Lotus Stem (Boiled & Sliced) – 2 cups
- Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 2-3 table spoons
- Besan (Gram Flour) – 6-7 table spoons
- Coriander Powder – 2 tea spoons (coarsely grinded)
- Degi Chili Powder – 1/3 tea spoon
- Green Chili (Sliced) – 1-2 chilies
- Salt – half tea spoon OR to taste
- Lime Juice – 1 lime or little more
PREPARATION METHOD:
1. Thoroughly wash lotus stem in running water to remove dust.
2. Peel the stems with a peeler.
3. Boil the stems in water till they are soft
4. Now thinly slice the stems and keep aside.
5. Heat ghee in a kadahi / pan on medium. flame.
6. Add besan and roast till you get a light brown colour and a roasting aroma.
7. Now add green chillies, coriander powder and degi chili powder; lightly roast for a minute.
8. Add sliced lotus stem, stir well and turn off the flame.
9. Finish with sprinkle of salt and lemon juice.
10. Quick stir and adjust the seasoning before serving.
